UMW Advantech Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UMW Holdings Berhad, has two divisions: auto components and specialty equipment. Primed with the requisite human talent, state-of-the-art design, and comprehensive facilities and systems, we provide innovative engineering solutions for environmental control and the automotive, oil & gas, petrochemical, oleochemical and transportation sectors.
Our Specialty Equipment Division designs and manufactures process equipment and structures for the oil & gas, petrochemical, oleochemical and environmental-control industries. The division also manufactures special-purpose vehicles for aircraft ground support as well as the road and rail sectors. We are supported by strategic technical alliances with some of the world’s leading equipment suppliers.
AEREX – Aircraft Ground-Support Equipment
AEREX covers a vast range of aircraft ground-support equipment such as catering hi-lifts, invalid-passenger lifts, water trucks, lavatory trucks, passenger stairs, maintenance platforms, baggage trolleys and pallet dollies.Transport Equipment
We supply a wide variety of logistic solutions that are categorised according to their mode of operations, including aluminium tankers (liquid and bulk), curtain sider trailers, railroad power-generating cars and port trailers.Process Equipment & Specialised Structures
We design and fabricate specialised structures, plants, pressure vessels and other process equipment for the oil & gas, petrochemical and oleochemical industries. UMW Advantech is certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (or ASME) and the National Board for U1, U2 and R Code Stamps. We are also registered as an unfired-pressure-vessel manufacturer by the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources’ Department of Occupational Safety and Health.
